1st Mising language Unicode-based keyboard

DIBRUGARH, Jan 12 - Software developers � Rizwan Rehman and Dr David Kardong of Centre of Computer Studies, Dibrugarh University who came up with the first Mising Language Unicode based keyboard (IME) �LI:SANG� got it released during the 22nd general conference of the Mising Agom Kebang (Mising Sahitya Sabha) at Suniram Basing Lotta at Goroimari, Bhimpora in Lakhimpur district.

The software was released by Dr JJ Kuli, president, Mising Agom Kebang. Dr JJ Kuli while expressing satisfaction told the gathering that the software would be a boon to writers and the people of Mising community as the software would make computer typing of Mising language very simple and easy.

Dr Devid Kardong, in his speech, highlighted the fact that the software would help attracting the new generation towards the use of Mising language and forwarded the software as a New Year gift. Rehman also announced that very soon the android version of the keyboard would be launched for the smart phone users. He also said that

all these software will be free of cost.

A message from Professor Gopal Chandra Hazarika from department of Mathematics, Dibrugarh University under whose supervision the keyboard was made, was also read by Dr David Kardong, a release stated.
