19 in fray for 3 seats in Morigaon district

MORIGAON, March 26 - Altogether 19 candidates are in the fray for the three Assembly constituencies of Morigaon Election District going to polls on April 11. The three Assembly constituencies are going to poll in the second phase of Assembly elections.

The list of contesting candidates for 79-Jagiroad (SC) LAC is: Pijush Hazarika from BJP, Bibekananda Doley from INC, Putul Das from AIUDF, Dilip Das from TMC, Surjya Kumar Das from Liberal Democratic Party, Sukanta Majumdar from Bharatiya Gana Parishad and Mamoni Das (Independent).

For the 80 Morigaon LAC, the candidates are: Ramankanta Dewri from BJP, Munin Mahanta from CPI, Jonjonali Baruah from INC, Lachit Chandra Medhi, Ramen Nath, Dr Dhiren Chandra Nath and Khairun Nessa (all Independents).

The list of contesting candidates for 81-Laharighat LAC is: Jadumoni Patar from AGP, Siddique Ahmed from AIUDF, Dr Nazrul Islam from INC, Rabindra Nath Biswas and Ranjit Kumar Deka (both Independents).
