ITANAGAR, Sept 8 - Arunachal Pradesh on Monday recorded 180 new COVID-19 positive cases and saw 124 recoveries, a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services stated here.
With the detection of the fresh cases, the State�s tally of confirmed cases rose to 5,180, including 1,576 active and 3,596 discharged cases. Besides, Arunachal Pradesh has also registered eight casualties.
The Itanagar Capital Complex took the brunt of the new caseload with 42 infections. Anjaw came second with 25 cases, followed by Papum Pare with 15. East Siang and Longding recorded 14 cases each, while 12 cases were detected in West Siang.
Eleven cases each came from Lower Dibang Valley and Lohit, 10 from Changlang, seven from Lower Siang, six from East Kameng and four from Lower Subansiri. West Kameng and Namsai recorded three cases each, Tawang two and Shi-Yomi one.
Among the Itanagar Capital Complex cases, 14 were reported from a paid quarantine testing centre here, 12 from the Banderdewa check gate and eight each came from the TRIHMS, Naharlagun, and the RKMH, Itanagar. In Anjaw, 24 out of 25 cases are GREF personnel detected in a quarantine facility and one is a returnee from Assam.
Of the new cases, 166 were found to be asymptomatic and 14 symptomatic, the bulletin added. Meanwhile, 124 positive cases were released from various hospitals after recuperating from the disease. In the Itanagar Capital Complex, the maximum of 26 cured patients were recovered. There were 22 recoveries in Papum Pare. Tawang discharged 14, Changlang 13 and Tirap released 12 cases.
Eight cases were released in Upper Siang, six in West Siang and five in East Kameng. Four recovered cases each were discharged in East Siang, Pakke-Kessang and Lower Siang. Lower Dibang Valley recorded three recoveries, and Namsai, Kurung Kumey and West Kameng one each.
