17 more test positive in Tinsukia dist

DOOMDOOMA, May 30 - With the detection of 17 new cases on Friday night, the number of COVID-19 positive patients in Tinsukia district has risen to 21.

Among the 17 positive persons, 14 were quarantined at the Doomdooma Marwari Panchayati Bhawan. All of them have returned from Chennai.

Three other positive persons are from Sadiya who were quarantined at the Multidisciplinary Skill Development Centre at Chapakhowa. Two among them had returned from Chennai while the others had returned from Hyderabad.

All the 17 positive persons have been shifted to Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Civil Hospital at Tinsukia for treatment.
