AIZAWL, Oct 4 - With the detection of 17 new cases of COVID-19, Mizoram�s tally reached 2,120 today.
An official statement said 13 of the 17 fresh cases were security personnel. Of 165 samples tested at Truenat labs in different districts, 16 people were diagnosed with the virus while all the 366 samples tested in different districts through RAgT (rapid antigen test) and 169 samples tested at the Zoram Medical College RC-PTR lab here have turned out to be negative.
Of the 17 fresh cases, 13 were reported from Lunglei district, including 12 BSF personnel and one Army personnel. Champhai district reported two cases, and Mamit and Lawngtlai districts reported one case each, the source said.
All the new patients have travel history and were under quarantine, it added.
Of the total 2,120 cases, 348 are active while 1,772 people have recovered from the disease in the State which has not reported any fatality so far.
