AIZAWL, Dec 10 - With 17 more people testing positive for COVID-19, Mizoram�s virus tally today reached 3,994.
The new cases were detected following testing of 1,286 samples during the last 24 hours. While eight cases each were detected in TrueNat laboratories of district hospitals and through rapid antigen tests, one case was confirmed at the Zoram Medical College RT-PCR laboratory.
Eight of the new cases were reported from Lawngtlai district, four from Aizawl district, three from Lunglei district and one case each from Serchhip and Khawzawl districts. Two patients detected in Lawngtlai district are residents of Aizawl, who were brought here today for treatment.
Mizoram now has 204 active cases, while 3,784 people have already recovered from the disease. The State has so far reported six COVID-19 deaths.
