168 Covid-19 cases in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, June 14 - Nagaland�s COVID-19 positive cases shot up to 168 with five more people testing positive on Sunday.

In his briefing, principal secretary (Home) Abhijit Sinha said the total number of positive cases in the state now stood at 168. Of them, the active cases are 80 while 88 persons have recovered.

He said all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 hospitals. As per the severity of symptoms, all the 80 active cases are asymptomatic, he added.

Sinha said till date, altogether 5,945 samples have been tested and results of 4848 samples have been received. The results of 1,097 samples are awaited.

He said 3,005 samples have been tested at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, out of which 124 samples have tested positive. A total of 6,774 persons are presently under facility quarantine, he said.

A Special train left from New Delhi for Nagaland with about 600 persons today. The train is expected to reach Dimapur on June 16.
