NAGAON, April 3 - Various surveillance teams active in the district today screened the health condition of a total of 167 persons and out of which 152 persons were sent to home quarantine and 15 people were admitted to isolation wards set up at various locations in the district.
Out of those who were admitted to the isolation wards, 10 persons are the family members of the attendees of the religious congregation held recently at Nizamuddin in Delhi while three persons who had a contact history with the COVID-19 positive man from Karimganj, besides, two persons arrived from outside the state other than Delhi.
It may be mentioned here that the district health services collected swab samples from 75 people for confirmation of COVID-19 in the district till date, but no positive cases have been recorded yet.
Out of these 75 people, 19 attended the controversial religious congregation at Nizamuddin in Delhi.
District health services sources said around 5,000 people are being put under home quarantine till filing of this report.
