TURA, May 27 - A 16 year-old minor boy from Haripur village near Rajabala was killed and later hanged from a tree after being kidnapped on May 25.
The minor, Joshibur Rahman was allegedly kidnapped by a group of unidentified men. The young boy had just completed his SSLC examinations and was awaiting his results on May 25, when he was kidnapped and murdered.
The son of an assistant teacher of Haripur school under Phulbari Police Station in West Garo Hills, the young boy had passed the exams with flying colours.
The kidnappers had tied up his hands and legs with a plastic rope and allegedly murdered the boy before hanging him from a tree about 100 metres from his house. An FIR was filed in Rajabala Police Outpost the same day.
