KOHIMA, March 19 � A total of 1,593 pre-activated SIM cards were seized and 53 persons arrested during special drives across Nagaland, police said.
The seizure and arrests were made during the past several weeks throughout the State, SP (Crime) Kohima, M Tungoe said.
All authorised dealers and retailers have been informed that selling of pre-activated SIM cards is illegal and that if found doing so, serious penal action will be initiated against them, he said. � PTI
