IMPHAL, Aug 26 - Police on Saturday arrested a person and recovered 15 gm of heroin from his possession near a town along Indo-Myanmar border in Tengnoupal district of Manipur.
The drugs were found in the possession of a 56-year-old man during an operation conducted at Prem Nagar locality at Moreh town yesterday, police said.
The value of the heroin is estimated at Rs 3 lakh in the international market. The operation was carried out to counter the rising number of drugs-related cross-border smuggling cases, they said. � PTI
