134 new virus cases in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Oct 22 - Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday reported 134 new COVID-19 cases, taking its virus tally to 13,912. On the other hand, 164 cured patients were discharged on the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 11,199, a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services stated here.

The Itanagar Capital Complex accounted for 40 of the new cases, while Lohit and East Siang recorded 22 each. Tirap and West Siang registered eight cases each, Changlang seven, Upper Siang six, Lower Dibang Valley five and Siang four.

Lower Subansiri and West Kameng recorded three cases each, while East Kameng, Lower Siang, Dibang Valley, Papumpare, Leparada and Namsai registered one case each.

The State�s active COVID-19 cases now stand at 2,682, while 31 people have already lost their lives due to the virus.

The Itanagar Capital Complex has the highest number of active cases (1,274), followed by West Siang (286) and East Siang (183). Arunachal has so far tested 3,00,977 samples for COVID-19, including 2,487 on Wednesday.
