13 rank holders shine in Nalbari dist

NALBARI, May 31 - A total of 13 students of Nalbari district secured positions among top 20 rank holders in the HSLC examination, results of which were declared today. Of them nine students of Nalbari town found their names among the rank holders. Three students from MNC Balika Vidyapith Karishma Barman (5th position), Murchana Madhukalya (7th), and Jahnabi Chakravarty (15th) secured ranks among the top 20. While talking to this correspondent, Karishma said that she wants become either a doctor or an engineer in the future. Presently, she will take admission in the Science stream in a Nalbari-based college. Murchana wants to become a good teacher while Jahnabi wants to become an administrative officer.

Moreover, three students of Sankardev Vidya Niketan of Nalbari � Chinmoy Kashyap (7th), Manash Kamal Basishtha (15th) and Pushpanjali Rajbangshi (17) also succeeded in securing ranks.Two girl students of Little Flower School of Nalbari town, Shibashree Goswami (15th) and Meghna Haloi (17th) also brought laurels to the district securing positions among the rank holders.

Another student Himadri Kashyap of Ananda Vidya Niketan stood 18th in the HSLC examination.The students of rural areas of the district also shone in the exam. A student from Ghograpar High School, Nalbari, Tanmay Das secured the 6th position. Similarly, Dhrupad Deka of Gangapukhuri Barkuriha High School secured the 12th position. A girl from Bongaon HS School, Simi Rabha also secured the 17th position in the examination. Another student Bhaskarjyoti Deka of Eden Valley Academy, Chamata secured the 14th position.

Meanwhile, Nalbari district also secured the third position in pass percentage. The 73.69 per cent passed includes 2,407 in the first division, 3483 in the second division and 2,403 in the third division.
