12 new model hospitals to be set up in BTAD this year

GORESWAR, Aug 13 - With a vew to provide adequate health care to nearly 20 villages like Piplini, Oubari, Bangalipara, Suagpur, Daokhila, Dongergaon, Atherighat, Rajagarh, Naobandha, a new primary health centre was inaugurated by Ganesh Kachary, Executive Member of BTC at Bangalipara under Goreswar Revenue cirle in Baksa district on August 10.

An inaugural function was held on the occasion which was anchored by Diganta Bezbaruah, general secretary of Suklai-Serfang Block BPF committee. Kachary said that nearly 30,000 people will be benefited by the new health centre at Bangalipara. Patients of the vast area will get medical facilities from the health centre. A doctor, a pharmacist and six nurses will be regularly available to provide adequate health care.

The Executive Member of the Medical Department of BTC also said that another 12 new model hospitals will be set up at Nagrijuli, Dimakuchi,Udalguri, Mazbat, Kalakochi, Sukrangbari etc., under the BTAD area within this financial year. The patients of BTAD area need not run to Guwahati and other places for minor diseases, he said.

The Chief Medical Officer of BTAD, Dr GN Debasharma, Dr Naba Kumar Chakraborty, Dr Dulal Choudhury, Dr Karuna Brahma also attended the inagural function along with the local public of Bangalipara.
