AIZAWL, Sept 16 - Twelve new cases of novel coronavirus today took Mizoram�s tally of the viral infection to 1,480.
The new patients include four BSF personnel, two non-local truck drivers, three swab collection team members and one locally transmitted case.
A total of 1,577 samples were tested during the last 24 hours, an official release stated. These included 1,158 samples tested through RT-PCR at the Zoram Medical College, RATs in different districts and in the TrueNat laboratory at the Lunglei Civil Hospital.
The number of active cases in Mizoram now stands at 558, while 922 people have recovered from the disease. The State has not reported any COVID-19 death yet.
