12 new cases in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, June 26 - Twelve more COVID-19 cases were detected in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the State�s tally to 172, including 129 active cases.

So far, 42 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged from hospital in the State, according to the State Health Department.

Of the 12 fresh cases detected on Thursday, six are from Namsai, four from the Itanagar Capital Complex and one each from Changlang and East Siang districts.

All of them are returnees from other States of the country. While those from Namsai have returned from Tamil Nadu, those from the Itanagar Capital Complex have come back from West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. The one from Changlang is a returnee from Uttar Pradesh and the one from East Siang is a returnee from Assam.

All of them were at quarantine facilities and are asymptomatic. They have been shifted to Covid Care Centres.

On the other hand, four COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital. The recovered patients include two from Changlang district and one each from East Siang and Lower Dibang Valley. They have been advised a strict 14-day home quarantine and self-monitoring, the department said.
