IMPHAL, Feb 27 - Twelve candidates appearing in the ongoing High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM), were expelled for impersonation and use of unfair means today, official sources said.
Three candidates from as many schools were expelled for impersonation, while nine candidates from six schools located in Kakching and Thoubal districts were expelled for copying, stated an official press release.
Since the beginning of the examination, 49 candidates have been expelled. On the first day of the examination, eight candidates were expelled for impersonation. On the second day, 20 students (15 for impersonation and five for using unfair means) were expelled. Nine more candidates were expelled from various examination centres for using unfair means/impersonation on February 25.
