GUWAHATI, Sept 27 � GVK-EMRI Mrityunjoy 108 Emergency Service has been facing a lot of problem from hoax callers.
In the latest instance, on the �chakka bandh� day on September 21 when the incidence of emergency calls were very high, it became very difficult for the emergency service provider to give hundred per cent service to the people in� need.
�There are a few callers giving wrong information or even being abusive. We have been compelled to spend unproductive time while handling these calls,� it said in a statement.
On one such instance, the caller called up to 90 times out of which five times the call was dispatched as medical emergency, and 81 times from another caller who used foul and abusive language.
