JALAH, March 25 � Altogether 102 candidates filed their nominations from 11 BTC constituencies under Baska district for the Bodoland Territorial Council election on April 8.
Twelve nominations were received in two constituencies � Mothunguri and Dihira constituency under Baksa district. Ten nominations were filed in two constituencies � Nagirjuli and Goybari, nine filed their nominations in Koklabari and Baganpara constituencies. In Salbari and Darangajuli constituencies eight nominations each were received. Seven filed nominations in Mushalpur and Suklai Serfang constituency respectively.
Today being the last day of filing of nominations, 52 nominations were received. Sitting BTC executive member who have joined BJP filed his nomination from Baganpara constituency today.
Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on March 26. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is March 28 and the same day the final list of contestants will be published. Repolling, date is on April 10 and counting of votes will take place on April 11.
