10 questioned on Kharkutta incident

TURA, Dec 8 - The inquiry into the �mistaken identity� killings by the Army team of Rangjuli in Assam moved into its second day with the magistrate questioning another three people on the incident today.

Two residents of Rajasimla, under Kharkutta constituency � Sweetbirth Marak and Alphius Momin � were killed in what the Army later termed as a case of �mistaken identity� on November 25 leading to an uproar in the Garo Hills region.

A total of 10 residents of the Kharkutta constituency have been questioned till now with seven deposing before Magistrate DD Sangma.
