GUWAHATI, Sept 4 - As many as ten Bills were introduced on the first day of the September session of the State Legislative Assembly today, including six pertaining to the universities of the State.
On behalf of the State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary introduced the Assam Science and Technology University (Amendment) Bill, 2017, the Majuli University of Culture Bill, 2017, the Madhabdev University Bill, 2017, the Bhattadev University Bill, 2017, the Rabindranath Tagore University Bill, 2017 and the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University (Amendment) Bill, 2017.
This apart, the Assam Employees� Parent Responsibility and Norms for Accountability and Monitoring Bill, 2017 was also introduced by Patowary on the Floor of the House, on behalf of the State Finance Minister.
Other Bills introduced today were Assam Municipal (Amendment) Bill, 2017 by Urban Development Minister Atul Bora, Industrial Disputes (Assam Amendment) Bill, 2017 by Labour and Employment Minister of State (in charge) Pallab Lochan Das and Assam State Capital Region Development Authority Bill, 2017 by Chandra Mohan Patowary on behalf of the GDD Minister.
