BAIHATA CHARIALI, July 14 - One person was killed on the spot and six others were seriously injured in an accident that took place on the NH-31 at Tiniali here today.
According to reports available, a Mahindra Bolero (TR-01-V-0226) bound for Guwahati from Rangiya hit a passenger bus (AS-13-6181) proceeding from Guwahati to Tangla at Tiniali (Tengabari) under the Changsari PS.
The deceased was identified as Ratul Das (27). The injured are Kishore Bhuyan, Buddha Basumatary, Gautam Das and Jintu Das. However, two of the injured have not been identified till the filing of this report. The public demanded a traffic police point and deployment of adequate traffic police personnel to check accidents in the area in future.
