JORHAT, Feb 11 - One person was killed while two others were injured in a road accident on Sunday evening at Na-Ali (Jorhat-Titabar Road) at Jalukanibari area.
According to a police source, Prashanta Saikia, who was riding a scooty and coming towards Jorhat, collided head-on with a motorbike with two youths coming from the opposite direction.
Saikia, a resident of Baroihbari village under Jalukanibari Police Outpost, reportedly died on the spot, the source stated.
The other two youths riding the motorbike, who have been identified as Dipu Saikia and Akash Saikia of Sonari village of Na-Ali Dhekiajuli area, were seriously injured in the mishap and were undergoing treatment at the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital.
