MIRZA, March 2 - At least one person was killed and 11 others injured when a group of 25-30 people of Majortop village attacked the family of Ainal Hoque (who was working in a paddy field alongwith his family members) in a land dispute-related incident at Pub Bhaurabhitha village under Chaygaon Police Station in Kamrup district on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ainal Hoque (75) of Jorsimili-Champupara village. Hanif Ali (65), Eksed Ali (45), Abdul Latif (28), Rupsan Ali (25), Jahuruddin (38), Sukur Ali (50), Saniara Khatun (17) of Champupara pathar were injured who belonged to one group. Four persons of the other group � Jiarul Hoque (33), Tamser Ali (40), Imdadul Hoque (23) of Majortop village and Badshah Miya of Bhaurabhitha village were also injured.
All the injured have been admitted to Goroimari Community Hospital. The critically-injured Hanif Ali and Eksed Ali have been rushed to GMCH. Tanser Ali and Jiarul Hoque, who are in Goroimari Civil Hospital have been arrested in this connection. Cases have been lodged by both parties in this connection.
