ITANAGAR, April 21 - One of the two accused persons, who were filmed killing a king cobra in Arunachal Pradesh recently, has been arrested. The duo had on April 18 allegedly killed the reptile near the old suspension bridge at Pachin Colony in Naharlagun, the video of which had gone viral on the social media.
A wildlife team of Lobi Wildlife Range, led by Range Forest Officer Tadar Raju, with the help of the local police, had conducted a house-to-house search and nabbed one of the accused.
The other accused is still absconding, stated a press release from the IPR Department here.
