GUWAHATI, Dec 15 - In connection with the multi-crore-rupee scam in the implementation of the Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities in Assam, the CID of Assam Police on Monday arrested one Abu Mucha Ahmed from Badlabazar area of Kamrup district. The person is a business correspondent of Allahabad Bank and owner of a common service centre.
The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Kamrup (Metro) today sent him to four days of police custody. Till date the CID arrested altogether 30 persons in connection with the scam.
