AIZAWL, March 31 - The alliance of Zoram Peoples Movement (ZPM) and Congress, which forged an alliance to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and Assembly bypolls to Aizawl West-I seat, recently launched a scathing attack on the BJP Government saying there has been no big development under it.

Speaking to reporters here, ZPM-Congress alliance spokesperson, Lallianchhunga said that demonetisation, implemented in November 2016, which was said to eradicate black money and fake currency, was a complete failure as 99.3 per cent of the scrapped notes returned to Reserve Bank of India. He also alleged that the demonetisation never achieved its target and about 100 people lost their lives because of it.

Lallianchhunga also alleged that the BJP Government has interfered in the food habits of Christian and Muslim minorities. He said that at least 28 people were killed between 2014 and 2017 in cow-related violence.
