Zeliang for early solution to Naga issue

By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, Aug 26 - Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang said all the Naga political groups must be taken on board before a final solution to the vexed Naga problem is arrived at. He also laid emphasis on early solution to the issue in the greater interest of the State.

We must seek public opinion and suggestions to move ahead taking the voices of all stakeholders onboard, he stated, while interacting with a seven-member delegation of Naga Hoho led by its president Chuba Ozukum in his office chamber in Kohima on Wednesday, a CMO release said.

Expressing his desire for an early solution, the Chief Minister said solution should come at the earliest possible date so that every Naga can live with permanent peace.

He stated that the Naga peace process must not be taken up simply for political mileage in the upcoming 2018 State Assembly election but it should be based on sincerity.

The Naga Hoho delegation called on the CM to congratulate him on taking over as the new Chief Minister and to initiate the process of uniting Naga civil societies under one umbrella.
