DIMAPUR, Sept 26 - Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang has officially been made the �Chief Ambassador� of the �Ambassador for Girl Child�- an initiative of the Nagaland Government - at a meeting with the State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW) Nagaland at the Chief Minister�s Office. SRCW is the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP),
The �ambassador for girl child� is an initiative of the Nagaland Government under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme, a mass campaign launched by the Government of India in 2015 to spread awareness about ensuring the survival, protection and education of the girl child.
Zeliang was also felicitated by mission director of the State Resource Centre for Women Nagaland Daisy Mezhur.
The Chief Minister lauded the State Resource Centre for Women Nagaland for their �enthusiastic efforts and assured all assistance towards the noble mission, the CMO release stated.
