GUWAHATI, Nov 21 � Zeel Desai of India clinched double crown in the U-18 ITF World Junior Ranking Tournament organized by the All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) at its own complex Chachal here.

On the final day of the championship today, Zeel defeated Sathwika Sama, also of India 6-4, 6-1 for the girls singles title while partnering with Nikola Matuszak of Poland she trounced Indian duo Sathwika Sama and Akanksha Bhan 6-1, 6-4.

In the boys event top seed Kushan Nath of India won the singles title with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory against his India opponent qualifier Dhruv Sunish in the final.

In a colour full prize distribution ceremony Dibya Jyoti Kalita and Swapnil Borthakur, treasurer AATA distributed the prizes to the winner and runner-up.

Final results: (Girls singles) Top seed Zeel Desai (Ind) bt third seed Sathwika Sama (Ind) 6-4, 6-1. (Boys singles) Top seed Kushaan Nath (Ind) bt Dhruv Sunish (Ind) 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. (Girls doubles) Top seed Zeel Desai (Ind)/Nikola Matuszak (Pol) bt second seed Akanksha A Bhan (Ind)/Sathwika Sama (Ind) 6-1, 6-4. (Boys doubles) Shrey Gupta (Ind)/Vikrant Dahiya (Ind) bt Ishaque Iqbal (Ind)/Nihit Rawal (Ind) 2-6, 6-3, 10-7.
