GUWAHATI, June 23 � Former Assam Ranji captain Sayed Zakaria Zuffri bid adieu to the first class cricket.
Today he wrote to the Indian cricket board about his decision through Assam Cricket Association, informed ACA secretary Bikash Baruah.
Baruah also revealed that his letter to the Board was sent today. Zakaria also accepted the ACA�s cricket committee post.
In his first class career Zakaria scored 3037 runs in 76 matches with three centuries and 15 half centuries. As a wicket keeper he has 150 catches and 21 stumpings.
He represented both Assam and Indian Railways in Ranji Trophy. He was one of the most successful cricketers Assam has ever produced till date.
