Youths urged to shoulder responsibility

TEZPUR, Jan 24 � Stressing on the positive involvement of the young generation in politics, Tezpur MP Ram Prasad Sarma said here that the bud of the nation�s future finds a fragrant blooming in the hands of its youth. It�s the time of culmination when the youth must realise and individually shoulder the responsibility of resuscitation of India in every aspect such as social, economical, political, administrative and so on.

The BJP parliamentarian, who was attending a worker�s meet here at the District Library auditorium addressing more than 1000 BJP workers hailing from different anchalik and block committees of the district, urged the workers to be firm in putting up a united fight against the Congress party and its rampant corruption through voting machines/ ballot papers in the ensuing municipality and town committee election and in the 2016 Assembly polls, Sarma further said that development of a strong nation demands that the youth possess steely will power, mighty determination and tremendous grit. �For this, the youth itself must be fully sound and arm itself with all essential qualities so that modern India sees unprecedented growth and development by skilled finishers.

Vehemently criticising the misdeeds witnessed during the Congress regime for three consecutive terms, Sarma said that corruption is more harmful than a murder case. �A murderer murders only one person, but the corruption of a person affects a society on a larger scale,� he said.

Earlier, the BJP State President, Sidhartha Bhattacharya urged all workers to work with a united force and refrain from dissidence. The worker�s meet held under the aegis of the District Committee, BJP president, Ritubaran Sarma was attended by the State president of the Kisan Morcha, Pankaj Pathak and a host of dignitaries. In the programme along with a businessman of Tezpur town, Madan Singh, altogether 400 people from different parts of the district joined the BJP.
