BARPETA Sept 19 � Recovery of Bijanta Patowary�s (23) body and the car he owned, at two seperate locations here recently, has created a sensation in the eastern part of Barpeta district. According to information available, the local people first saw the body of the youth on the Amrikowa-Majdia road under Sarthebari Police Station. The deceased was a resident of Sarthebari Natun Bazar.
Bijanta owned a Maruti Swift car and drove it for a livelihood. His car was subsequently recovered by Solmara police in neighbouring Nalbari district. The car reportedly met with an accident at around 9.30 pm the previous night. Though the cause of death is yet to be ascertained, preliminary investigation suggests that car-lifters might have hired the vehicle in the guise of passengers and later killed the driver and dumped his body on the roadside and proceeded towards Nalbari. But due to some reasons beyond their control, it met with the accident, compelling them to abandon the vehicle.
