BARPETA, Oct 8 - In what could be termed a Talibani act, a youth was brutally killed by some miscreants at Barpeta Road, the commercial hub of Barpeta district last night.
According to available information, Manoj Roy, son of Madhab Roy, a resident of Desbandhupara under ward no. 2 was found dead with severe burn injuries along with his motorcycle at Santinagar under the same ward in Barpeta Road.
It is suspected that the miscreants first killed the victim, then set ablaze the motorcycle and threw the body into the burning motorcycle.
The motive behind the tragic incident is yet to be ascertained.
