DIPHU, Sept 20 - Sensation prevailed in Khatkati locality along the Assam-Nagaland border after the son of the village headman of Nothong Teron village under Khatkhati Police Station was attacked with a sharp weapon.
The victim was identified as Onbu Teron, son of village headman Langtuk Teron, while the attackers have been identified as Harsing Timung, son of Long Timung, and Bablu Saikia of the same locality.
According to police, the incident took place on September 18 when the victim was returning home after attending a puja in Khatkhati. On finding commotion inside a puja pandal, he went inside to see what was happening, when he was suddenly hit on his head. A case has been lodged by his family members at Khatkhati Police Station.
