IMPHAL, Jan 17 - In recognition of her work in documentary film direction, Dalmia Bharat Group conferred the prestigious �Young Achiever�s Award 2016� on Meena Longjam of Manipur at an event in Guwahati on Tuesday.
Olympic medalist Mary Kom, who is the brand ambassador of Dalmia Bharat Cement attended the function where seven other outstanding young achievers were also honoured.
The other achievers were Seuj Priya Borthakur (Sattriya dance), Diganta Goswami (Journalism), Samudra Sikhar Biswas (Sports Journalism), Rupert Nongrum (Football), Toshimoa Zamir (Music), Lakeshwar Bodo (Art) and Kalpana Kalita (Acting).
Meena, a single mother of two kids, in her debut film �Autodriver� tells the story of a lady auto driver based in conflict-torn Imphal who has to face the discrimination of passengers.
