JORABAT, April 28 - The All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Goat Improvement along with Goat Research Station (GRS), Byrnihat, today observed World Veterinary Day.
Ten farmers from Mangaldai, Sonapur, Khanapara and Jorabat were felicitated during a programme held at the GRS premises for achieving success in goat farming.
Dr Hiralal Hazarika, Joint Director, Animal Husbandry Department, and Dr Pradeep Gogoi, Virologist, Animal Health Centre, praised the hard work of the farmers and highlighted the need of goat farming to meet the demands of the people.
GRS Chief Scientist Dr Abdus Saleque and other scientists from GRS as well as students from Veterinary College, Khanapara also attended the programme.
