GUWAHATI, Nov 17 � Local girl Priyana Kalita (Ind) upset 4th seed Madhumita M Pvrajan (Ind) 7-5, 6-3 on the opening day of the ITF approved World Junior Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls U-18 years which began at the All Assam Tennis Association courts, Chachal, here today.

The first day also saw three more major upsets.
