Workshop held at Assam University

SILCHAR, Jan 31 - The College Development Council (CDC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Assam University Silchar organised a one-day workshop on National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Awareness programme recently.

In a release issued to the media here , Dr Prodipto Das, assistant director IQAC of the university informed that the workshop was organised to sensitize the Principals of various colleges under the university regarding the forthcoming visit of the NAAC team in the region. �The objective of the workshop was to encourage the colleges to maintain the standards necessary for clinching the NAAC accreditation.

Prof. Dilip Chandra Nath, Vice Chancellor of the university along with Dr Sanjib Bhattacharjee, registrar of the varsity Dr Dibyojyoti Bhattacharjee, director of IQAC attended the workshop and enthused the participants.

Dr Das further informed that total 88 participants from various colleges of Barak Valley and a few from Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong districts attended the sessions. Also, two participants came from colleges under Nagaland University as well.��Dr MS Shyamsundar, advisor to NAAC at Bengaluru and Dr Mohit Tiwari, Assistant Advisor to NAAC at New Delhi were the resource persons at the workshop.
