ITANAGAR, Nov 1 � A 56-year-old woman was raped and murdered at Sangram in the remote Kurung Kumey district today, while the man who allegedly committed the crime later hanged himself to death inside a police station, police said.
One Tamchi Sonar allegedly raped the woman before strangling her to death, IGP N Payeng said. Sonar, who was later arrested, hanged himself inside a toilet at the Sangram police station. � PTI
