DOOMDOOMA, March 10 � One Rupa Sharma (29), wife of Munna Sharma of Beesakopie No. 10 under Doomdooma PS was murdered and her body was recovered by the police from No. 2 section of Beesakopie TE last evening.
According to information, Rupa who is a mother of two children left her home on March 8 along with her brother-in-law Sunu Sharma (31) and one of her neighbours Ranjit Singh (28) to meet a panchayat representative. At night, Sunu Sharma made a phone call to Rupa�s father Pashupati Nath Sharma asking him if his daughter had gone to his house. Later, Rupa�s father came to know that his daughter was missing. He filed an FIR at Doomdooma PS. Police immediately started investigation and examined the mobile phone of Rupa. On the basis of the clue they got from her mobile phone, police picked up Ranjit.
During interrogation, he confessed that he had murdered Rupa. On the basis of his statement police recovered the body last evening. Police also arrested Sunu in this connection. They are being interrogated at Doomdooma PS. It may be mentioned here that Rupa�s husband Munna Sharma is working in Chennai. Though the police investigation is on, the reason behind this murder is yet to be known.
