JORABAT, May 3 - One Dilmaya Lama (32) was killed on the spot and another woman identified as Ekmaya Karki (30) was critically injured when a speeding cement-laden mini truck that was travelling towards Guwahati, hit them this afternoon near Ghanashyam Basti under Jorabat Traffic Police Outpost.
Both the women had gone to the nearby forest to collect firewood. The mini truck hit them when they were crossing the road. Ekmaya was rushed to the GMCH in a critical condition. The mini truck and its driver are in police custody.
