SIVASAGAR, Aug 10 - In what appears to be a suicide case, a half burnt body of a 67- year-old widow Anu Baruah of Dicial village, Dhuliapar near here was recovered by the family members at the back of their residence yesterday morning with half a gallon of kerosene, a rope and a suicide note by her side.
In the suicide note the deceased wrote that she took the extreme step because of her daughters-in-law. Sivasagar police after preliminary investigation, booked the two sons, Angshuman and Navajyoti and daughters-in-law Pratiksha and Dhun for interrogation. Local people have demanded a thorough investigation into the incident and punishment to the culprits according to the law.
