NAGAON, Aug 25 - In a special drive last night, Nagaon town police led by SI Gaurav Mahanta arrested a widow along with a huge cache of cannabis, drug capsules and bottles of syrup from Bhuyanpatty area in the town.
The widow was identified as Asiya Begum of Bhuyanpatty. Police seized around one kilogram of cannabis, more than 500 capsules and 100 bottles of cough syrup from her residence situated at Bhuyanpatty in the town.
Sources said here today that town police had information about the storage of those drugs at the residence of the widow and based on that information, it subsequently launched an operation and finally got the breakthrough.
