We will never form Govt with AIUDF: BJP chief

By Correspondent

NALBARI, April 6 - We are ready to sit in the Opposition for 50 years, but will not form the Government here with the support of Badaruddin Ajmal as it will be an insult to the people of Assam, said BJPs national president Amit Shah while addressing a poll rally at the Nalbari College field here on Tuesday.

The Congress cannot stop him (Badruddin), only BJP can, he said. Training his guns on Congress president Sonia Gandhi for asking accounts from Prime Minister Narendra Modi of the last two years of his Government, Shah said, Soniaji, this is not Lok Sabha elections, this Assam Assembly election, adding, When we will come here in 2019 (for Lok Sabha polls), we will give account of all the work we have done and you dont have to ask us.

The people here gave you 15 years and sent a Prime Minister from here for 10 years. The people of Assam are instead asking you (Sonia) to give account, the BJP supremo said.

There is an atmosphere of change here. Make the BJP-AGP Government in Assam. BJP can change Assams future to make it Indias foremost developed State, he appealed to the voters.

Continuing his attack on the Congress and the AIUDF chief, Shah alleged, Gogoi and Ajmal are fighting against each other for publicity, but if you give a closer look, they can be seen together at night in Guwahati.

Taking up the issue of infiltration of Bangladeshis into Assam, he said, Congress has left the Bangladesh border open and allowed them to enter into our territory to use them as vote bank. These migrants snatched away the jobs of the youth of Assam.

He alleged, If Gogoi or the Congress wanted, they could have stopped infiltration in the last 15 years of their rule.
