We believe in value-based politics: Sonowal

BAIHATA CHARIALI, April 8 - Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sarbananda Sonowal, who is the chief ministerial candidate of the BJP in this Assembly election, has said that after the formation of the BJP-AGP-BPF alliance Government in the State, they will do value-based politics,

Speaking at a public meeting held today at Singerpara under Kamalpur LAC, Sonowal said that the public of the State have reposed their trust on the BJP-AGP-BPF alliance for its people-friendly planning for the overall development of the people without any discrimination on the basis of caste or creed and will reject the corrupt Congress Government.

Sonowal called upon the public of the LAC to cast their votes in favour of the AGP-nominated candidate, Satyabrat Kalita, to form a strong and popular Government in the State so that the problems of the area as well as the State could be addressed properly.

Participating in the meeting, Atul Bora, president of the AGP said that already the citadel of the Congress in upper Assam was destroyed in the first phase of elections held on April 4 and now the public of lower Assam are determined to oust the corrupt Congress Government from the State in the second phase to be held on April 11.

Bora also said that after the formation of the AGP-BJP- BPF alliance Government in the State, all syndicates will be stopped.

Satyabrat Kalita, the candidate from Kamalpur constituency delivered the welcome address. BJP spokesman Rupam Goswami, BJP leader Diganta Kalita and other leaders of the AGP also called upon the public to choose the BJP by rejecting the AIUDF or the corrupt Congress.
