GUWAHATI, Nov 28 � In the last quarterfinal league match of the 60th Bharat Ratna Lokapriya Bordoloi Trophy Tournament at the Nehru Stadium here today, Shillong outfit Royal Wayhingdoh demolished local team Green Valley 7-0.
However, both the teams have already entered the semifinal stage. Now in the semifinals, Royal will take on another Shillong team Ar-hima Football Club tomorrow while in the other match, Green Valley will face Langsning Football Club on Wednesday.
Jacky Chand Singh opened the sluice gate in the 20th minute while B Kharkongar made it 2-0 at the fag end of the first session.
In the second session, Green Valley virtually gave up as the technically superior Royal boys were in a rampaging mood. They scored four goals after the break. Ashis Chetry (58th minute), Malsaw Milunga (81st and 85th minute) and Laldin Mawia (89th minute) were the strikers for Royal in the second session.
