GUWAHATI, Oct 2 - On completion of one year of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Dayanand Jha, Additional General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), administered the �Cleanliness Pledge� to senior officers and staff of the Railways and members of the Rotary Club, Gauhati West, here today.
He later flagged off a walkathon from NF Railway Headquarters to Kamakhya Railway Station to build up awareness on cleanliness, said a statement. Hundreds of railway scouts and guides, senior railway officials, staff of NF Railway and members of Rotary Club participated in the walkathon.
A cleanliness drive was also organised at Kamakhya Railway Station where the participants of the walkathon rendered shramdan to spread the message that cleanliness is everyone�s responsibility.
