Voters will reject Cong, says AGP

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, March 27 - Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president Atul Bora today asserted that the people of the State would vote against the Congress in the ensuing Assembly elections.

The Tarun Gogoi-led Congress government in the State has turned Assam into a haven for criminals. It failed miserably to take action against those involved in incidents of secret killing despite making high-sounding pledges that it would initiate effective measures against those people, the AGP president said.

He said cases of crime against women are also on the rise in the State under the Gogoi government.

But the ruling party is trying to mislead the people with the false claim that it has been able to restore peace in the State, Bora said.
