�Vote for change� concert in Manipur

IMPHAL, Nov 21 � �Manipur is full of puzzle. The time has come to change our mindset in order to sort it out for the generation to come. Otherwise the very community would vanish,� said Kennedy Heigrujam, a young vocalist of the State-based Rock band � The Dirty Strikes, while responding to a question on why should we vote. �We need to vote for a change�, he said.

The 23-year-old college going student from Sagolband here has a clear and loud message to vote for a change in the trouble-torn border State during a Rock concert held at Yaiskul range ground here under the aegis of Spotless Event � the event management wing of Kok Sam Lai Solutions Private Limited in collaboration with its associate �GoManipur� recently.

The Rock show primarily aimed at creating awareness on the importance of choosing the right representative in the Assembly polls early next year, while Manipur has become the first State in the country to have the popular social networking website Facebook as a platform to woo young voters.

On being asked why �Vote for Change�, entrepreneur Harjeet Sinam (27) of Kok Sam Lai Solutions Pvt Ltd, one of the brains behind the initiative and the show said, �People here are frustrated with the unwanted happenings. We are facing various types of atrocities which is not created by one person alone but whole of us. So together we can change Manipur for the better by choosing the right and able persons in the election.�

A young Law College student P Ranita in her mid twenties, who came to watch the show braving the chilly November wind, said �Let�s put a full stop on undemocratic means in the forthcoming election as we are looking for Vote for Change�.
